This is one I'm rather pleased with. It was sold on the opening night of my first one-man show to a friend who had apologised for not being able to attend, sent a huge bouquet of flowers, and then showed up anyway. As soon as the exhibition was declared open Steve walked around the paintings saying "I'll have that one, that one, that one, and that one". While my dealer ran after him with red stickers. The enthusiasm of such a well known figure was contagious and soon there were red stickers everywhere.

Of course by that time Steve Irwin was able to afford such things, they already had several of my paintings, but he showed up that night in his same old Land Cruiser and /khaki shorts.

He bought this to hang in his office as it reminded him of a very special encounter he had with wild Orangs. His wife Terri had been buying my work for years, and is an avid supporter of the arts.

The world could ill-afford to lose a guy like Stevo, one of the kindest and most passionate people I've ever known.
